1. Mothers Day: May 13^th

Call or email your Mothers Day order for pickup or delivery. This year we will be open all day on Saturday and on Sunday from 12-4pm for gifts and flowers pick up only (but as usual there will be no deliveries on Sunday).

Show you appreciation for your Mum (this is how we spell it in England!) with fresh flowers, beautiful plants (such as Martha Washington Geraniums as shown here), hanging baskets, patio pots, blooming Jasmines, and Crabtree & Evelyn lotions.

Combination gifts such as a fine wine and flower basket or gardeners selection of herbs and hand lotion are also available.

2. UIUC Graduation at the Hedgerow: May 11^th-13^th

Earning a degree from the U of I is certainly something to celebrate.

Enjoy a well earned lunch or dinner with your family during this special weekend. We encourage your reservation.

Professional photographer Mark Romine will be on hand. His creative work will provide you with fantastic visual images of this milestone day.

The Bistro will be open for Lunch Friday & Saturday May 11^th and 12^th from 11am-3pm and Sunday May 13^th from 12noon-4pm (Sunday is now fully booked).

For dinner Friday and Saturday May 11^th and 12^th from 5:30pm – 9pm, with a special Chefs Tasting Menu at $50 per person, reservation only.

Rushing into town for commencement? Call or email ahead and have your presentation bouquets, corsages and boutonnieres ready for pick up or placed at your dining table awaiting your arrival. Extraordinary orange and blue flowers are our specialty.

Delicious locally grown fresh organic produce has arrived. From now through the fall an ever changing selection of seasonal fruits and vegetables will be served for your delight and good health.

Currently offering baby salad greens, bokchoy, arugula, and edible flowers.

Pictures to your right show organic radishes, lettuces, cabbages and edible pansies getting started in our raised veggie beds!

Announcing our New Bistro Patio:

From this month onwards, lunch will be available outside on our Bistro Patio.

Choose your own table alongside our freshly planted flower, herb and vegetable boxes and our wait staff will take your order, no reservation needed.

If you specifically wish to be seated outside, please call and mention this and a table will be reserved for you

The wedding season is with us. Hand tied bouquets continue to be a favorite, but more architectural, constructed bouquets are becoming increasingly popular.

Magnetic attachments for corsages and boutonnières facilitate easy attachment to elaborate beaded jackets and dispense with the guys’ fear of how they are going to deal with pinning on their flowers.

Some of you may not realize that we have a large selection of glass vases for rental with your wedding flower order. Also available for rental are: garden arches, candelabras, wedding screens, large urns and hurricanes.

Hedgerow Catering News

English Hedgerow’s special-event catering team has been busy again this month with several large events providing made-from-scratch gourmet dinners prepared on site from the Hedgerow mobile kitchen. The pictures below show the team in action behind the scenes, as they provide 200+ guests with full waited service in a Bistro style setting created in a gymnasium in Danville.

Also, with award dinner and department recognition events in full swing at the University large numbers of self-serve buffet platters and gourmet box lunches have been going out. Twice this month we have had to put a stop on new orders due to demand exceeding our capacity. We do apologize for this and hope you understand that we do not wish to compromise the quality of our product and service by taking on more than we can do well on any one day.
